Geomotion Singapore is a leader in the supply of monitoring services for the safety and stability of all categories of structures. Our portfolio includes numerous high-profile clients within the construction industry. Recent bridges and flyover construction projects include monitoring works of Padi Flyover and NEA bridges in Tuas.
Proposed Instrumentation and Monitoring Work at Portsdown Avenue Diamond Interchange (PADI) Flyover
This project includes deep excavation for pile foundations & shallow excavations for drains construction. Therefore, the excavation works require the implementation of a field instrumentation program to monitor changes in the ground and the construction-induced movements of adjacent structures and services including but not limited to existing flyover pier columns, retaining structures, and outlet drains such that the contractor can evaluate the impact of the changes in the readings over the stability of excavations and adjacent structures prior to, during and after the excavation works. Also, the construction induced impacts such as vibration and noise will also be monitored in the required frequency.
Ground Instrumentation and Monitoring for Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) Construction Works
The IWMF is an integral part of the National Environment Agency’s (NEA) long term plan to meet Singapore’s solid waste management needs. The Waste-to-Energy (WTE) facility within the IWMF will be designed with an incineration capacity of 5,800 tons per day (tpd) making it one of the largest in the world. In addition to the treatment of incinerable waste, the IWMF will also process source-segregated food waste, household recyclables collected from the National Recycling Programme (NRP) and dewatered sludge from an adjacent used water treatment plant, the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (TWRP).
While construction of this project, adjacent NEA bridges are monitored to detect any movements or vibration due to nearby construction activities.

Instrumentation and Monitoring Works for the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System Phase 2 Project - Contract T-09 The project involves the construction of a 50km sewer tunnel of which 40km of deep tunnels, 60km of link sewers, the Tuas water reclamation plant (TWRP) with an initial capacity of 800,000m3 per day, and a 12km deep-sea outfall. It includes the construction of pumping stations, and storage areas, and the installation of safety and security systems. The 50km tunneling works include South Tunnel; South Spur Tunnel; Industrial Tunnel; Northwest Link Sewer; Pasir Panjang Link Sewer; Holland Link Sewer, and Southern Region Link Sewer and will be procured under five tunnel contract packages. During the tunneling works, bridges in the zone of influence are monitored to detect any movements or vibration due to nearby construction activities.
